If you have picked up a copy of the Meadow Lake Progress lately, you will have surely noticed some major changes. So far, we haven't received much feedback, but we hope that our readers like what we have done. It has been challenging at times, but we think the new layout changes make the paper even better and we hope you think so too.
Another big change here at the Progress has been the addition of our new reporter, Joel Cherry. He comes from Saskatoon, so he is a born Saskatchewan resident. If you see him around town covering events, feel free to say hello. We have been working together to improve our coverage of Meadow Lake and area, because we want to make sure we have all the top news stories, sports and features. We always welcome our readers' input and story ideas, so feel free to give either of us a call anytime.
With so many changes going on here at our office, there has been a lot of excitement. It is great to be involved in the ever-evolving media industry, especially in a place like Meadow Lake that is growing and changing itself. Having been here for just over three years now, I have already seen so much change and I am happy to be able to continue writing interesting stories and to attend and cover fun events. The people of Meadow Lake never cease to impress me, and I'm proud of be part of this community in such a big way.
Remember that our doors are always open, so drop by if you have any news to share or just to chat because sometimes that is the best way to bring out interesting stories, and that's always our goal. We hope to see you soon!
